The trail of Jumaliskylä Sandbanks

The total length of the trail is about 9.5 km, and the main part of it passes through a fairly natural area of the Jumaliskylä sandbanks, which is part of the Natura programme. Near Lake Vuokkijärvi, forestry is present with roads, woodland and felling areas. The path, marked with blue landmarks, starts at the end of Jumalistie (Jumalisentie 24) and ends at Lake Vuokkijärvi. The distance from Suomussalmi municipal centre to the trailhead is about 27 km. Leave your car at the end of the road, at the P-point before the booms, as the trail initially runs along a private road where driving is prohibited.
