Murhisalo Trail
Murhisalo is a natural wilderness of Kainuu scrub and extensive marshes at their best. Murhisalo is well suited as a day trip destination for more experienced hikers – you can wander there in peace, without the crowds on the trails.
There are 9 km of maintained trails in the area. You can start your hike from the parking area along the Kuivajärvi road. The route is marked with blue landmarks.
The northern part of Murhisalo or the section from there to Martinselkonen is no longer maintained.
The eastern border hiking trail is accessible between Martinselkonen and Hossa.
