The trails of Raate

The paths in the area around the Raatteen Portti (a total of 7 km ) introduce you to the battlefield of the Winter War. Along the trails there are good information boards about events in the area and three campfire sites.

There are also restored Finnish and Soviet soldiers’ quarters, Winter War-era living quarters, graves of the dead and even unexploded ordnance. Remember that digging without the landowner’s permission is strictly forbidden.
