The Memorial of Civil War

The Memorial of Civil War is located in Suomussalmi kirkonkylä, Kirkkoniemi. It stands for two Suomussalmi born soldiers who died in the Finnish Civil War in 1918. The memorial text includes the names and death places of the soldiers and a quote “It is an honour to die on the road to freedom.”
