Guided hiking trip to the Hossa Värikallio rock paintings

On this guided hiking trip, we will go with a guide to explore the Värikallio rock paintings, which are found in Hossa National Park. The Värikallio rock paintings are located along an ancient waterway, on the shore of Lake Somerjärvi.

These Värikallio rock paintings are in their own unique way different from other rock paintings in Finland: the rock walls feature stick-like elk-like animals and three-headed human figures.
The Värikallio paintings can be admired from a metal viewing platform, which has been built on the shore of Lake Somerjärvi, right in front of the rocks. The Värikallio rocks can be reached along a trail called the Värikallion kaarros, which is approximately 8 kilometers long.

On the guided hike, we will stop to admire the unique nature of Hossa National Park and have a snack break halfway through the hike, at the Värikallio rest area.
During the hike, the guide will tell you about the history and nature of the area. We walk at a pace that is suitable for everyone.

Minimum. 2 people
The tour lasts 3.5 hours and includes a guide and snacks.
