Memorial of Viianki
The village of Viianki was hit by a tragic partisan attack during the Continuation War on July 4, 1943.
18 villagers, including three soldiers, died in the partisan attack. In addition, five were wounded. Almost all the buildings in the village were destroyed. The monument of Viianki village is the oven of the destroyed house. The names of those who perished in the partisan attack are listed on the monument’s plaque. Next to the memorial is a small log shed with a small photo exhibition and guest book.
