Storage Shed for Explosives Memorial

The monument is located in Suomussalmi, near the main church of Suomussalmi. On the wall plaque of the building is the text “From 6 to 27 December 1939, fierce fighting raged at Suomussalmi Church. The only reminder of those days on the property is this “building”, which was ravaged by shells.

The building was used as a storage shed for explosives by the Osuuskauppa Maakunta before the Winter War.
