Seipiniemi Wilderness Experience Centre

Seipiniemi is a unique and atmospheric place by the waters of Hossa. A historic peninsula, the landscape of which has been inhabited and traveled long before the present paths and maps. Water and forest surround the visitor, and the peace of the area makes the place special – one where it is easy to stop and breathe.

An evening in Seipiniemi is at its best when the campfire warms you and the sounds of the forest fade away. The place is perfect for both guided activities and relaxed togetherness.

There is a restaurant on site, whose long tables, wood stove, open fire cooking area and large window overlooking the lake create a warm, wilderness-like environment for meals, courses and evenings. You can prepare the food yourself, bring it with you or order it from the kitchen of Hossa Nature Centre.

The place is easy to adapt for a party, evening out, a free day or a group’s own program.

At the other end of the restaurant is a smoke sauna, which can seat about 15 people at a time, and the atmosphere is simultaneously dim, soft and soothing. The heat, smell and steam of the sauna create a whole that is for many the highlight of the visit.

After the sauna, the lake awaits just a few steps away and the colors of the evening light are reflected on the water in a way that is difficult to describe. It has to be experienced.
