Reindeer farm visit in Seipiniemi, Hossa

A winter visit to the reindeer farm at Seipiniemi introduces you to the northern way of life amid the beautiful forests and lakes of Hossa. A peaceful encounter with the reindeer, stories about reindeer herding and the unhurried atmosphere give you an opportunity to experience this traditional way of life up close.

During the visit, you will learn about reindeer, reindeer herding and their importance to life in the North. You will meet the reindeer and have a chance to feed them. You can also try your hand at throwing a traditional reindeer herder’s lasso at reindeer antlers – a fun activity for both adults and children.

The experience also includes a warm and cosy moment indoors at Seipiniemi. Enjoy a small refreshment while listening to stories and taking in the peaceful atmosphere of Hossa.

Reindeer farm visits are available during the winter season only, when the reindeer are at Seipiniemi. During the summer, the reindeer roam and graze freely in nature, and reindeer farm visits are therefore not available.
