Puukkojärvi ski trail

The traditional style ski trail starting from the Hossa Nature Center is marked on the terrain with orange paint marks. The route varies in difficulty and runs part of the way along a multi-purpose route. Take a lunch break at Puukkojärvi’s unlocked hikers hut and admire the Iikoski river along the way, which flows throughout the winter.

The maintenance of the track starts as soon as the snow and ice conditions permit, and it is accessible on skis from around the beginning of January to the end of April. However, in April, the sun already softens the surface of the track, and after night frosts, the track can be dangerously hard and icy.
