Arriving in Hossa
Nestled deep in the forests of northeastern Finland, Hossa National Park is still easily accessible by car or bus. Located in the northern part of Suomussalmi municipality, the most convenient way to visit Hossa year-round is by personal vehicle or rental car.

Summer schedule (Mon-Fri and Sun): Kajaani–Suomussalmi–Hossa–Kuusamo.
The bus timetable can be adjusted to align with trains arriving in Kajaani from the south.
There is a year-round bus service between Kajaani and Kuusamo on Route 5. To reach Hossa from this route, a taxi is required from the Peranka bus stop (approximately 30 km).

Kajaani and Oulu railway stations offer the most convenient access to Hossa, with available bus connections and rental car options.
