Arriving to Hossa
Hossa National Park is located in the northern part of Suomussalmi municipality. Travelling in your own vehicle or by rental car is the easiest way to get to Hossa all year round.
Bus connections to Hossa
Mon-Fri and Sun by summer: Kajaani – Suomussalmi – Hossa – Kuusamo
The bus schedulecan also be adjusted to trains arriving in Kajaani from the south.
There is year-round bus service between Kajaani and Kuusamo on route 5. However, you have to take a taxi from the Peranka bus stop to get to Hossa (approx. 30 km).

By train
The railway stations in Kajaani and Oulu are the most convenient for those traveling to Hossa in terms of bus connections or rental cars.
