Hossan Lumo’s camping and caravan area

Lumo’s camping area is situated on the beach of the beautiful lake Hossanjärvi. Here you can find a minimarket and a cafe (summer time) as well as equipment rentals on top of our cottages and campsite services.

Facilities include minimarket, café with free WiFi, two saunas, equipment rental, amenities building with showers, WC’s, washing machine and communal kitchen.

White snow time

The beautifully rugged winter landscape invites you to explore the surrounding areas by snowshoes, cross country ski’s, fat bike or backcountry ski’s. Why not try out ice fishing – a locally popular way of fishing in the winter time! You can easily start your day trips on the frozen lake from our beach. Backcountry ski’s are excellent for moving even in deeper snow, and it’s quite fun to ski down an esker as well! On clear nights you can marvel the starry sky and Northern lights without any light pollution.

Spring and summer

Once the spring comes and the lakes and rivers thaw, it’s time to move from land to water. On a canoeing trip you can sense the wilderness on a different level and from a SUP-board you can admire the peaceful lake scenery from higher up. Hossa is also known to be a fisherman’s paradise. You can catch trout, rainbow trout, grayling and pike among many other species from our clear-watered lakes and rapids. The area offers a great variety of well-maintained hiking and mountain biking trails.

Autumn

Autumn is great time for hiking and picking berries and mushrooms. Finland’s everyman’s right to nature allows you to do so freely. We are happy to advise you more about this!
