The rock painting at Julma-Ölkky is located in Hossa National Park, 1.5 meters above the water surface of the canyon lake, and it is the northernmost rock painting in Finland.
The painting consists of two human figures and one animal figure. It is difficult to estimate the age of the paintings, which were officially discovered only in 1987 by a skiing group from Tampere.
Julma-Ölkky is accessible year-round, and the attraction is free of charge. There is no staff at the site. The paintings are best viewed from the water or, in winter, from the ice. During summer, boat tours are organized on the canyon lake.
