Paasonkoski Wilderness Cabin

Paasonkoski Wilderness Cabin is located on the shore of Lake Saarijärvi, at the mouth of the Paasonkoski River, within the Yli-Vuokki recreational fishing area. The cabin is situated about 55 km southeast of Suomussalmi town center. This log-built cabin is available for rent year-round.

Facilities:
The log cabin consists of one room with a double bunk bed (160 cm), a convertible sofa, a kitchenette, and an entryway. The water from the well has not been tested, so it is recommended to bring drinking water from a nearby spring or bring your own. The cabin has a wood-heated sauna and a dug-out cellar for cool storage.

Attractions and Services:
The cabin is located within the East Suomussalmi hunting area and the Yli-Vuokki recreational fishing area, offering excellent hunting and fishing conditions. The Raatteen Road attractions are 25 km away, the Ala-Vuokki village shop and fuel station are 17 km away, and the Viena Trail is 2 km away, while the Eastern Border Hiking Trail is 6 km away.

Pets are allowed at no extra charge.

The Yli-Vuokki recreational fishing area fishing license (5505) can be purchased via eraluvat.fi or at the TB-Turjanho in Suomussalmi.
