Description

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling (+358 50 384 4692). Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).

This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.

Connection to Hossa hiking-, cross country skiing- and canoe routes and fishing and hunting areas.
From Visitor Centre: Linen, guided tours, rental (boats, canoes, kayaks, hiking- and fishing equipment, forest skis).
In Hossa area there are 90 km marked hiking routes and 60 km cross country skiing tracks, disabled facilities and good jogging terrains. Route maps can be purchased from Visitor Centre (for example Hossa-Martinselkonen Outdoor map).
Attractions in the region: Stone Age Rock paintings, reindeer herding culture-related structures, Lounatkoski mill.
Bus stop 2 km, Hossa Visitor Centre and cafe 1,5 km, Hossa village 5,5 km, Juntusranta village 30 km, snowmobile track 0,5 km.

The cabin can be reached by car in summer and winter.
